About Bude Now

A free page showing what's on in Bude and the villages around it today: tides and surf, events, what's open, toddler groups, classes and clubs.

It's an independent, not-for-profit project run by a local volunteer. It isn't part of the council, Visit Bude or any business, and nobody pays to be listed.

Where the listings come from

• Events come from public calendars such as Visit Bude, Bude-Stratton Town Council and Bude Library, and from venues' and groups' own websites.
• Opening hours come from each place's own website where it publishes them, otherwise from guides such as CAMRA's pub guide and Visit Bude. Every listing says where its hours came from and when they were last checked.
• News from local businesses (specials, gigs, closures) comes from the Instagram posts of businesses that have told us they're happy for us to read them. We write the facts in our own words and link to the post. We never copy photos, and if a business deletes a post, it drops off here within a few hours.
• Tides, swell and wind come from Open-Meteo's forecast models. Tide times are approximate. Before rock-pooling, using the sea pool or going in the water, check the official tide table and swim at lifeguarded beaches.

Times change, so please check with the venue before you set off.

Getting listed, or putting something right

Run a café, pub, club, class or group? If something's missing or wrong, or you'd like your listing removed, email [email protected]. We aim to fix things within a couple of days.

Privacy

Using the website. There are no cookies, no tracking, no adverts and no sign-in. The fonts are served from this site, so your browser doesn't contact Google or anyone else when you visit.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. We can see overall visitor numbers, not who you are.

If you email us. We get your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to update the listings, and we never share it or add you to a mailing list. Email to [email protected] is forwarded by Cloudflare to a Gmail inbox (Google), where it's kept until it's no longer needed. Ask and we'll delete it.

Businesses and groups. Listings contain information that businesses and groups publish themselves, such as names, addresses, opening hours and event details. We don't list private individuals.

Your rights. Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
